Clevver vs. WeWork
Which is right for you?
Have you heard about companies offering international work flexibility, but don’t know which is best for you?
We’ve compared two well-known companies offering services to SMEs, startups and freelancers looking for flexible working locations.
Centralized platform for multi-location management
Physical locations for working
Easy mail management
International expansion for businesses
Number of locations
Number of services offered
WeWork was started in 2010 and now boasts spaces in 123 cities around the world. They offer a wide range of workspace plans, from hot desks to large custom offices for a full team of employees.
Clevver was started by people who know the struggles of international expansion. Founders Sven Hecker and Christian Hemmrich came up with the idea while trying to get a previous business venture off the ground in the UK. Hecker and Hemmrich’s metal goods were wanted by the Royal British Navy, but they couldn’t find a single supplier offering a good business location, incorporation assistance, post digitisation and a phone number in the UK. They took matters into their own hands in 2013 and now offer 63 attractive business addresses worldwide through Clevver. The aim is to allow you to start a business in all corners of the world with just a few clicks.
WeWork does not provide centralised mail management. Those WeWork users that are able to receive mail at their working location are only notified of incoming mail. They must then pick the mail up from the physical location. WeWork mail handling is also not available with every plan in every country.
Clevver’s online app and online interface is the heart of the Clevvermail system. It notifies users about incoming mail, as well as the sender, weight and format of letters and packages. It then allows customers to choose with one click whether the mail should be scanned, forwarded or discarded. Scanned items can be viewed immediately from anywhere in the world. Users can also manage their international locations and add new addresses anywhere in the world quickly and easily.
WeWork is first, foremost and overwhelmingly a provider of physical workspaces. Their services has limited overlap with Clevver’s business, which operates in the sphere of setting up business in foreign countries or new cities.
Clevver offers all SMEs, startups and freelancers need to expand overseas. Check out ClevverMail to get a digital postbox, ClevverAddress for a business and registered address, ClevverNumber for an international phone number, ClevverCompany to have us incorporate your business, and ClevverEnterprise to manage mail and build your virtual office with white-label software.
Comparing Clevver and WeWork plans can be a little bit like comparing apples and oranges. Nevertheless, let’s look at where the companies most obviously intersect: the management of mail in a foreign location. Clevver’s digital mailbox allows you to manage your mail, regardless of where you are in the world. WeWork requires customers using its more flexible “hot desk” and “membership” plans to pay extra for mail handling, if it is available at the location at all. The below shows you the cost of a Clevver Digital Mailbox vs the additional cost of WeWork mail handling. These Clevver prices are month to month. You’ll pay even less with Clevver when you sign up for a year.
